Afghanistan - Asset Tracking

Sicuro GroupBrief: A US Government client required near real-time tracking of assets transiting throughout Afghanistan. The solution required devices to report every 15 minutes and be compatible with the US Army's tracking application. Devices also required a panic alarm capability so that should a convoy have a problem the US Military can support if necessary.

Solution: Sicuro is the largest independent tracking provider in Afghanistan, servicing a range of government clients including NATO, the US Government (USG) and the National Afghan Government, as well as major private multinationals, transport and logistics companies. Sicuro has an industry-leading track record of 98% contract compliance in Afghanistan and its 256-bit secure management platform, SicuroTrack, is fully compliant and integrates with major management platforms including the USG's current asset visibility system, GDMS.

Sicuro's In-Transit Visibility solutions are currently in use with USG contractors for ATN, NAT, USC, LOGCAP, NATO, as well as the Afghan People's Protection Force (APPF). Sicuro's asset tracking solutions operate over the Inmarsat and Iridium satellite networks, which provide the best coverage in Afghanistan, and use the ISAT M2M standard to achieve maximum cost-efficiency for clients. Each Sicuro device is built with military-grade durability, has panic alert capability, can report at intervals ranging from 2 minutes to 4 hours and can monitor the full range of vehicle or asset activity which can be easily exported from SicuroTrack.

Finally, Sicuro's operations command centre in Kabul is manned with local nationals, ex-pat country managers and technical experts to ensure that clients receive all the necessary in-country support, including training, installation services and maintenance. Sicuro is well-positioned for any emergency and has successfully provided crisis management for clients.
