Background
In late September and early October 2023, escalating tensions between Israel and Lebanon led to a volatile security situation in the region. Lebanese airspace faced temporary closures, and international commercial flights were severely restricted due to airstrikes and ground offensive operations.
Initial Alert
On September 29, Sicuro received its first evacuation inquiry from a global management consulting firm seeking to evacuate approximately 20 staff members. Having monitored the deteriorating regional situation, Sicuro was already positioned to respond to such requests.

Rapid Response and Scaling
Sicuro’s 24/7 Global Security Operations Center immediately initiated action. By September 30, the team had:
- Confirmed availability of pre-positioned assets in Istanbul for charter flights
- Begun securing necessary landing permits and insurance
- Started preparing flight manifests
As word spread of Sicuro’s evacuation capabilities, additional requests came in from multiple sectors and organizations operating in Lebanon, including FMCG, Retail, Pharmaceutical, Airline and Security companies.

Successful Execution
Sicuro executed a swift and efficient evacuation operation:
- First flight departed on October 1
- Two subsequent flights followed on October 2 and 3
- Successfully evacuated over 60 employees across six client organizations
